Measure Your Size

To find the appropriate size for you, first take your bust, hip and waist measurements, either in inches or in centimeters. Note: These chart sizes are only guides. Specific manufacturers or brands may have their own systems of measurement.

Below is a guide on how to properly take your measurements. To ensure you are getting the right size, make sure you a) measure carefully, and b) take your measurements regularly. When you have the correct measurements, you can easily find your US size.

Taking Your Measurements

You will need a tape measure to take the measurements below. Stand in front of a mirror with your back straight. This will ensure that you are measuring correctly and that the tape measure is kept level.

Bust

Extend the tape measure under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and over the fullest part of your bust. Don’t pull the tape measure too hard, but ensure that it is tight. For fitting a bra, you will also need the measurement just under your bust.

Waist

Be sure to measure above your natural waistline. This is the narrow part of your waist, about inch above your navel. Relax and breath out before you measure.

Hip

Your hip should be measured around its fullest part (about eight in. below your waste).

Inseam

The inseam is the measurement from your ankle to your groin. If possible, as a friend to help you when taking this measurement. When taking this measurement, be sure to stand with your legs straight. This can also be measured on a pair of pants that you already own, should they fit you properly.
